the dog poop
- it was fuckin wet
- it was fucking black and impossible to fuckin find on the fuckin dark brown rug
- it was in three different places
- not in three neat piles
- they fuckin decorated with little shit spatters
- yeah
- i stepped in some
- twice
- in my socks
- and it got on my pants
- which i didn’t notice until i lifted my pants leg
- and literally painted the back of my leg with fuckin dog shit
- my leg which i had to lift in order to wash myself in the downstairs sink
- which meant that, now, i had also smeared fresh shit on the back of my thigh
- there were no paper towels
- it is a miracle i did not kill the dogs and toss them in the fucking swamp behind my house
